I was starting to think there was no simple projector that would just let you play content from your phone. I looked at dozen s of others and even purchased and returned other projectors because they just didn’t work (overly complex, won’t connect to your phone, limits you to only playing only content from certain streaming services, etc). Overall this is such a fantastic value for the money. There is an audio jack to plug it into a speaker if you need more powerful sound. The projector has a built-in speaker which is not loud but works fine for a small gathering in a small space. There is no keystone option so you have to just manually position the projector in the correct spot for a perfect, undistorted rectangle. If you plug it in first, Apple displays an error saying that it won’t allow you to connect to this source.

It works! Tip: on my phone you have to start the movie and then plug on the projector *after* you’ve started the movie.
